Meldrum Primary School in Aberdeenshire was revisited to see the work that we did with them last summer in situ, looking very beautiful in one of their busy corridors. They make a fantastic and permanent display and the school should be very proud of them.
Daviot Primary School has planted a splash of floral colour at the foot of the Friendship Tree that we made with them in summer 2010. Looking bright and gorgeous alongside their other new playground improvements. You can’t tell from the picture but the tree is proving a fine home for spiders.
Mason Moor School’s children in Southampton have just made three striking mosaic panels from their own designs to go into the school courtyard. Looking fantastic!
This is an interactive playground tree decorated by every child and teacher in the school. It has a flower planter at the base and the children will hang loose leaves with playground games’ instructions on them.
This is our second visit to Thomas Buxton School to do wall murals. The theme this time was ‘Traditional Tales’ and all of the work was carried out by the infant school for their playground.

Following on from the Batik and Memories Art Project in 2008, Mile End school is finally about to close and move to their new building. They said farewell with a beautiful exhibition of the school through the years and displayed their batik work – over 500 pieces from staff and children.
Oldfleet Primary School in Hull worked with us for a second time during their Spanish Week. They looked at one of Picasso’s pieces and recreated it in 3D for their display.
We have worked on some great projects over the last ten years and it seems a shame to confine the pictures and talents to the archives. Instead, we will regularly show some of our own ‘Old Favourites’.
This was an enormous project across all ages and abilities, including Special Needs children. The project was to make a hanging that would be on the wall for a year and could be dismantled to give the children their own work back at the end of the display.
We have worked with this school on many occasions and all of the work has been stunning. This was a silk painting project that lined the staircase. Every child had an individual silk painting stitched onto a banner. Beautiful work and fond memories.
This was huge and messy and utterly creative. we worked with the five and six year olds to make large cardboard boats – lots of tape and mess and imagination. You’d be amazed at what the smallest children can do.
Over six mornings the class printed and cut and stitched. They attached bits and buttons and then we quilted their work for them – it looked just stunning. We worked with these children for three years and this is one of their many beautiful works.
Last but not least this was an enormous project. 330 children and staff all had their own panel built into this mosaic wall to celebrate 50 years of the school. It was a labour of love on all sides with a fine result to show for it all.
Continuing Professional Development, working alongside an art specialist teacher for six days to give her lots of ideas for working with her classes. We spent the time specialising in printmaking, on paper, on fabric and using a variety of techniques.
